Meet our horses, Jackie and Charlie.

UPDATE- it became increasingly clear over our first year at the farm that our horses were simply too young for our property, and in particular, Charlie (who was never broken to ride) was in need of training.

They came together from a farm in Ottawa, and after some discussions with our friend who owns that farm, she agreed to take them back. They went home just a few days before Christmas, and now have 150 acres to run and play with a pack of 75 horses and farm animals.

We are so sad and miss them terribly, but know we made the right decision for their health and happiness. There are videos on my instagram and tik tok of them running free, and even a week after going home, they are still staying by each others side.

We will regroup and replant the pastures and make some decisions regarding what livestock is better suited for our property in spring 2021.
