Blue Moon Farms, Guest Bedroom Tour

We moved in to our house last year on August 15th. Two days later we had our first guests! Needless to say, there was furniture… but not much else. Now, almost a year later the Guest Bedroom is finally done (well… is a room ever really done?) Albeit bad timing, during a pandemic- because we have no guests, but I have had more time to finish home projects. Somehow, I have still managed to avoid unpacking and organizing the basement.

This room was originally designed as our teenage son- with a Juliette balcony overlooking the courtyard, garden, and horse pasture. However before we moved in he decided he wanted the other bedroom because it has more windows. So now our guest bedroom has a walk-in closet… no need to pack light!

I purchased the two full size headboards almost a year before we moved in! I knew I wanted a sort of “garden” theme, bringing the outdoors in. All of the bedding, except for the pink floral pillows, are from Home Goods. I ordered the matching Cranes benches in March, but the warehouse closed down during quarantine and the only just arrived this week.

Little touches like a water carafe and fresh flowers make guests feel welcome. Complimentary Blue Moon Farms Sleep Elixir and glow-in-the dark Blue Moon Farms stress balls for all. Puzzles, books, and magazines add a personal touch.

There are only three bedrooms upstairs, and each has their own bathroom. We kept the design simple throughout, using the same vanities and mirrors in two of the upstairs bathrooms. The simple black & white farmhouse aesthetic keeps the look clean and uncomplicated.
